Apple iPod Touch and iPod Nano mp3 players are among the prizes that OGPlanet will be giving gamers just for playing La Tale and inviting their friends to join them.

From now until Nov. 19, every La Tale player who spends at least 30 hours playing the side-scrolling massively multiplayer online role-playing game will be eligible for a “Play to Win” raffle that will reward the grand-prize winner an iPod Touch. An additional 150 players will be randomly chosen from the pool to receive 100 Astros, redeemable at the OGPlanet Store for in-game items. Players who play for at least 20 hours will also have the chance to win Ninja Costumes for their characters, and every player who plays for at least 30 hours between now and Nov. 19 will receive 99 Cherry Pot Sodas.

While La Tale players are amassing their hours for the Play to Win contest, they can also invite their friends to check out La Tale for another chance at great prizes. The La Tale players who invite the most friends during each of the three rounds (Nov. 6 - Nov. 26, Nov. 27 - Dec. 17 and Dec. 18 - Jan. 22) will receive iPod Touch mp3 players. The two runners-up in each round will win iPod Nanos, and every invited friend will get to use an in-game Warp Crystal for 30 days. Prizes including USB pens and Astros will also be up for grabs in a raffle open to everyone who invites at least three qualifying friends during the event period.

Multiplayer online gaming company OGPlanet today announced two upcoming contests to celebrate the first anniversary of its popular free-to-play online fighting game Rumble Fighter. The game celebrates its first birthday on Aug. 7, 2008. Both fan contests commence Wednesday, July 23, 2008.

Anniversary Cosplay Contest
Contest participants are invited to post photographs of themselves dressed up as their Rumble Fighter character to the OGPlanet MySpace page. Rumble Fighter’s wide variety of costume options allows players to create their ideal fighter and the Cosplay Contest will allow players to show off their creations in a unique way. Ten winners will be chosen based on both accuracy and uniqueness of costume and will be granted a birthday wish for any one in-game item that is normally available for purchase. The Cosplay Contest runs through Aug. 12, 2008.

Anniversary Commercial Contest
Rumble Fighter fans will compete to make the best video commercial based on their favorite feature from the game’s first year. Once they have made their video, players can post links to the videos for a chance to win a special limited-edition, short-term Birthday ExoCore that allows the player to transform during in-game battle with special abilities. The top 10 videos selected by OGPlanet will receive the limited edition prize. The Commercial Contest will run through Aug. 5, 2008.
