New Albatross18 Mr. eCards Celebrate Summer Games

OGPlanet, an innovative provider of multiplayer online games is celebrating the Olympic spirit in Albatross18, its fantasy role-playing online golf game, with the addition of several brand-new athletics- themed items. These items are exclusively available through the game’s unique Mr. eCard system.

Players who purchase the new Mr. eCards will have a chance to win in-game item sets that highlight popular athletic events. These character-based sets feature gymnastics, baseball, tennis, and equestrian uniforms.

Mr. eCards are in-game scratch cards that reward players with randomly selected, high level prizes. New, extremely rare items are periodically made available through Mr. eCard. These items can only be won through Mr. eCard and are only available until the next item is introduced.

Players of Albatross18, OGPlanet’s massively multiplayer role-playing golf game, were invited to create their own summer-themed billboards for in-game display. The OGPlanet staff chose three winners from the entries submitted via the Albatross18 MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/albatross18), and the billboards designed by Fresca, GY187 and Helison will be displayed in the Albatross18 virtual world.

El Segundo, Calif. - May 12, 2008 OGPlanet, an innovative provider of multiplayer online games, today announced the first-ever Invitational Tournament in Albatross18, its fantasy role-playing golf game.

This month, OGPlanet will begin accepting entries from Albatross18 guilds hoping to participate in the Invitational Tournament. Each guild must choose just one representative–the player they feel will have the best chance at bringing the guild top honors at the tournament.

Eighty-seven players will be selected to compete in the three-round tournament in June. Each of the three rounds will include 29 players and one referee. Once three players emerge victorious, they will face off against each other to determine the final Grand Champion.

The Grand Champion, as well as every member of his or her guild, will receive a Gold Event T-shirt designating them as the reigning Albatross18 champions, Event Face Paint, and a custom-designed Guild Phoenix featuring the guild’s logo. Second- and third-place finishers will receive Silver and Bronze T-shirts and Event Phoenixes. Every member of the 87 guilds involved with the competition will receive Joy Candies.

“We hope this summer’s Albatross18 Invitational Tournament will be the first of many successful tournaments,” said Don Choi, COO of OGPlanet. “We’re looking forward to finding out who the best Albatross18 golfer is!”

Beginning Thursday, April 10, fans of Albatross18, OGPlanet’s fantasy role-playing golf game, will be able to purchase Pink Ribbon Face Paint for their characters. This in-game item will cost $2.50, with $2 of each purchase going to support Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising health awareness and supporting cancer research.
