NIS America unveiled Nippon Ichi Software and HitMaker’s first Action RPG, “A Witch’s Tale”, at the NIS America Press Event on June 5th in San Francisco. This latest project from Nippon Ichi Software and HitMaker takes advantage of the touch screen of Nintendo DS™ by adopting a unique drawing combat system. Players
will “draw” magic runes to cast various attack spells to battle eerie fairy tale monsters.

Key Features
Drawing magic – Use your touch pen to draw various runes and cast powerful spells.
Touch action – All combat actions like run, stab, swipe, and casting are executed by touch action.

Dual screen map Easily navigate through the vast world of A Witch’s Tale with the dual screen. Your location and the land map will be displayed on the top screen.
Card collection – Search out and collect all the playing cards to unlock the secret Black Jack battles. Here you can battle both enemies and friendly units.
Extra story stage – A new chapter story awaits the player even after beating the game for greater replay value.

Story
1,000 years ago, a tribe of powerful witches who used potent, dangerous magic lived
beneath the world. One day, the witches invaded the surface world. When all seemed
lost, the mystical Alice appeared. She used the witches’ own magic against them and
sealed them away. They say the Witch Queen still lurks beneath the land, waiting for
her chance to return to power.
