Whatever you do, don’t criticize the photographer who told her to do a bunch of jumping high-kicks in short-shorts or the photo-stylist who selected those three images to be showcased out of the hundreds that were taken. Good move. Angelina Jolie is fine, but she doesn’t resemble Lara Croft at all. This is the direction I wish they would have gone with in the first place. Oh, and so, so, so fine. I’m pretty excited about this, as long as they don’t fu<k up the screenplay and she can act that is.

She’s all well and good and I’m sure the mocap they get from her will make some awesome animations, but my main concern is with Lara herself in the new game. In the first games she was a sweet, flirty British girl who could by chance kick some ass. In the latest installment they chose the “bitchy dominatrix” role. That angers me. I think we have enough cold, insanely violent women in our games to satisfy the repress submissive gamer market. Can we please get more game-women like Alyx Vance and the old Lara Croft?
