Fast-Paced Action Hunting Game Can Be Played Head-to-Head or With Up to Four Players

Video game publisher Mastiff announced today that they have teamed up with developers SCS Software and Kouyousha to bring the award-winning arcade-style, multi-player hunting series, Deer Drive, to Wii™ this fall.

Deer Drive meshes hunting simulation with arcade style pick-up-and-play action and pacing for an exciting gaming experience. Deer Drive is the first deer hunting game that features two player simultaneous play. Additionally, Deer Drive features a multitude of gameplay modes, including four player party mode, true-to-life sound effects, passive and aggressive prey, and a slew of hunting weapons.

“Deer Drive is an entirely different animal when it comes to hunting games,” said Bill Swartz, head woof at Mastiff. “Most hunting games are slow moving simulations with frustrating controls. Deer Drive is all about shooting, all about pick-up-and-play fun and being a more accurate marksman and better hunter than your friends.”

Deer Drive Features:

• Arcade-style multiplayer action hunting on Wii for the first time.
• Pick-Up-And-Play: Lock, load, and take down some bucks. Just be ready to defend yourself from aggressive mountain lions, bears, charging moose and other dangerous situations.
• Multiplayer: Play head-to-head with a friend or with up to four players in Party Mode.
• Optimized to work with Wii Remote™ or the Wii Zapper™ accessory.
• Changing weather creates dynamic hunting conditions over varied terrain. Ethical hunting integral to game.
• Challenging for casual and hard-core players alike.
• Ethical hunting integral to the game

SNK PLAYMORE USA CORPORATION, the U.S. publishing arm of the SNK PLAYMORE CORPORATION, announced today the forthcoming release of SAMURAI SHODOWN II for Wii™ Virtual Console™ on August 4th 2008.

Regarded as one of SNK’s greatest games ever produced, SAMURAI SHODOWN II successfully integrated a brand new, dynamic fighting system that was years ahead of its time. The fighting system introduced players to several new offensive and defensive maneuvers including the ability to roll both forwards and backwards, ducking to avoid high attacks, hopping to avoid low attacks and the implementation of a ‘parry’ system that would allow players to deflect incoming attacks at the last second if performed successfully. In addition to the newly revised fighting system, SAMURAI SHODOWN II also features 16 unique playable characters, hidden bosses, a two player versus mode and of course all of the wonderful translations fans have grown to love.

SAMURAI SHODOWN II will be available for Wii™ Virtual Console™ for only 900 Wii™ Points and has been rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB.

SNK PLAYMORE USA also plans to release SAMURAI SHODOWN ANTHOLOGY for Wii™ in Q4 of 2008 for $29.99.  The collection will consist of 6 SAMURAI SHODOWN games: SAMURAI SHODOWN, SAMURAI SHODOWN II, SAMURAI SHODOWN III, SAMURAI SHODOWN IV, SAMURAI SHODOWN V, and SAMURAI SHODOWN VI.

Crave Entertainment releases quirky miniature golf game for the Wii(tm)

Newport Beach, Calif.- July 30, 2008- Crave Entertainment, a leading distributor and specialty publisher of console videogames, has released King of Clubs, a miniature golf game packed with attitude for Nintendo’s popular Wii(tm) system. With wild characters and exotically-themed courses, this is golf like you’ve never experienced it before.

Every course in King of Clubs is in many ways a puzzle game, with multiple routes, a generous helping of moving obstacles, and the potential for some outrageous and intricate hole-in-ones (and even a “hole-in-none!”). To get the best score, you’ll need to take advantage of your magic golf bag that’s full of tricky golf accessories, like special balls and trick clubs. You’ll laugh through 96 competitive mini golf holes that will leave you in stitches, with hazards that include wall sliders, gates, risers, bumpers, trapdoors, water hazards, pools of lava and even boiling oil!

In multiplayer matches, frustrate your buddy with gag balls, gag clubs and audio distractions when they’re putting. “Golf Warriors” pits up to four players against each other in a standard tournament style competition, but with one big difference: every shot the players will all have to use the same randomly selected club type and ball type, so each shot means a new club and ball combination.
King of Clubs is available now for a suggested retail price of $29.99.

‘Crazy Legs’ Conti Claims World Watermelon-Eating Championship Title

Tim “Eater X” Janus Strikes Back With a
Win Against Conti in Major League Eating: The Game

After consuming 15.1 slices of watermelon in just six minutes, “Crazy Legs” Conti was named the World Watermelon-Eating Champion on May 20.

In a watermelon-eating contest held at the Nintendo World Store, Conti faced off against his arch-nemesis (and roommate) Tim “Eater X” Janus. Conti, ranked 11th in the world by the International Federation of Competitive Eating, was the underdog going into the competition against Janus, who is ranked 4th in the world, but when the juice had settled and the rinds had been counted, he emerged victorious, having defeated Janus by just one bite.

Janus had his revenge, however, a few minutes later when the two professional eaters competed in a virtual watermelon-eating contest in Major League Eating: The Game, Mastiff’s upcoming WiiWare™ title. Although Conti initially took the lead, with 23 watermelon slices to Janus’ 21, he overestimated his virtual stomach capacity and experienced a “reversal of fortune,” defaulting the win to Janus.

When Mastiff’s Major League Eating: The Game launches, Wii™ owners will have their own chance to test their virtual-eating capabilities. The game features the world’s greatest gurgitory athletes competing across a variety of foods and venues. Built much like a classic fighting game and deeper than a Chicago style deep-dish pizza, MLE: The Game requires players to master a smorgasbord of offensive and defensive weapons including bites, burps, belches, mustard gas and jalapeño flames while cramming and chewing food at a world-class pace. It’s not for the faint of heart, the slow of reflex, or those with an overly strong aversion to a Technicolor reversal of fortune.

Major League Eating: The Game uses the Wii Remote™ to simulate a variety of eating techniques including the cram, toss, and ‘typewriter.’ Burp-offs and Hot Potato challenges during the contests keep the competition intense and eaters on their toes.

Major League Eating: The Game is for one or two players, offers online play and a leader board.
